The Clinic

Occupying a modern extension to the Old Police House in Botley, we have a sizeable, comfortable reception area. If you are a few minutes early you can enjoy complimentary coffee before your treatment. You are welcome to relax in the same way afterwards.
We have six spacious treatment rooms over two floors and a variety of chiropractic benches, each with specialist functions should the chiropractor need them, i.e. flexion-distraction for sciatic/disc problems, hi-lo function to transfer from a standing position to prone on the bench. Our pregnancy cushion allows child-bearers to lie face down on the bench with minimal discomfort and we have a plethora of treatment aids – activators, supine/prone blocks, mini-pro thumpers, interferential and ultrasound – enough to satisfy any chiropractor.
A Little History
The clinic was established over 50 years ago by renowned chiropractor Ray Broome on his return to Oxford. Originally in the centre of Oxford (hence the name), the clinic relocated to Headington before settling in it's present location in Botley some 25 years ago. At that time Ray entered into a partnership with Daniel Lane. On Ray's retirement two years later Daniel continued to run the clinic until 2006, before moving to Australia. Doctor of Chiropractic Caroline Shanks has been at the helm since then.
